Isaiah 11
1AND THERE shall come forth a Shoot out of the stock of Jesse [David's father], and a Branch out of his roots shall grow and bear fruit.(A)
2And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him--the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord--
3And shall make Him of quick understanding, and His delight shall be in the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord. And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, neither decide by the hearing of His ears;
4But with righteousness and justice shall He judge the poor and decide with fairness for the meek, the poor, and the downtrodden of the earth; and He shall smite the earth and the oppressor with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.
5And righteousness shall be the girdle of His waist and faithfulness the girdle of His loins.

I WILL GET BACK TO THOSE TWO SCRIPTURE IN A LITTLE WHILE BUT FIRST, CONSIDER THAT THE LORD RULES OVER ALL CREATION WITH MAJESTY AND POWER, LOOK AT PSALM 66:7 -

CATCH ON TO HE RULES OVER THE NATIONS.(RULE IN THE SENSE OF GOVERNS)

NOW LETS LOOK AT PSALM 93:1-2,5

1THE LORD reigns, He is clothed with majesty; the Lord is robed, He has girded Himself with strength and power; the world also is established, that it cannot be moved.
1. 2Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting.
Psalm 93:5
1. 5Your testimonies are very sure; holiness [apparent in separation from sin, with simple trust and hearty obedience] is becoming to Your house, O Lord, forever.
WHAT DAVID IS SAYING IS TOUR TESTIMONIES, LAWS, DECREES, AND WORDS ARE IRREVOCABLE.

HEBREWS 13:8 ECHOES AND DECLARES THAT GOD'S LIVING WORD IS ETERNAL AND UNCHANGEABLE. JESUS IS THE LIVING WORD AND HE IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER.

LOOKING WAY BACK, WE SEE THAT THERE ARE LAWS OPERATING IN OUR UNIVERSE THAT GOVERN HOW THINGS WORK. WITHOUT EXCEPTION, LAWS THAT CONTROL THE MOVEMENT OF THE SUN, MOON EARTH AND PLANETS. THEY WERE ESTABLISHED BY GOD AND CANNOT DIFFER IN THE SLIGHTEST OR THE PLANETS COULD COME CRASHING INTO EACH OTHER. IF THE EARTH WAS TOO CLOSE OR TOO FAR FROM THE SUN, IT WOULD BE TOO HOT OR TOO COLD. SINCE TIME BEGAN, WE HAVE BEEN RULED AND WILL BE JUDGED BY RULES AND LAWS THAT GOD HAS ORDAINED. AMEN!!

THE NEW TESTAMENT TELLS US THAT GOD IS OUR FATHER AND TAKES PITY ON US. HEBREWS SAYS THAT HE IS TOUCHE BY THE FEELINGS OF OUR INFIRMITIES. HEARS EVERY CRY AND BOTTLES EVERY TEAR.(PSALM 56:8)Psalm 56:8 (Amplified Bible)

YET, WE ARE ALSO TOLD THAT HE IS THE RIGHTEOUS KING WHO JUDGES BY HIS LAW AND HIS WORD IS HIS CONSTITUTION CONTAINING ALL HIS LEGAL DECREES BY WHICH HE RULES JUSTLY. EVERYTHING IS JUDGED BY HIS IMMUTABLE WORD!!!

NOW HOLD UP YOUR BIBLE AND REPEAT AFTER ME:
THIS BOOK TELLS ME WHO GOD IS. IT DESCRIBES HIS ATTRIBUTES, NATURE, PROMISES AND JUDGEMENTS. IT IS HIS RULE OF LAW, FROM HIS OWN MOUTH, BY WHICH HE RULES AND REIGNS. IT IS HIS WORD TO WHICH HE HAS BOUND HIMSELF. AMEN !

NOW, LETS LOOK AT THE 2 SCRIPTURES WE OPENED WITH AND SEE HOW THEY FIT IN TO WHAT WE HAVE BEEN DISCUSSING.

THE WORD REASON IS HIS INVITATION FOR US TO COME INTO HIS THRONE ROOM AND IT MEANS ACCORDING TO STRONG'S CONCORDANCE HEB #3198 TO CONVINCE OR CONVICT ME OF YOUR CAUSE.

VERSE 3 IS TELLING US THAT JESUS SHALL NOT JUDGE BY THE SIGHT OF HIS EYES, NEITHER BY THE HEARING OF HIS EARS. SO HE SAID NOT BY WHAT HE SEES OR HEARS , THAN BY WHAT SHALL HE JUDGE US'

VERSE 4 ANSWERS THAT QUESTION: HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS AND JUSTICE THAT HE HAD ALREADY DECREED BEFORE TIME. WHEN YOU SEE POOR IT MEANS THOSE THAT ARE DANGLING AND WEAK OR WEAKER AS COMPARED TO HIMSELF. POOR WOULD MEAN A POVERTY OF SPIRIT.

VERSE 5 RIGHTEOUSNESS SHALL BE HIS GIRDLE. THAT IS TO SAY WHAT HE HAS DECREED AS LAW AND THE STANDARD THAT HOLDS EVERYTHING TOGETHER.
HELLO, A PREDETERMINED STANDARD THAT HE SPOKE INTO EXISTENCE THAT WOULD BE THE FAIREST SCALE TO JUDGE WITH. THAT IS TO SAY THE JUDGEMENT THAT HE GIVES WILL BE DETERMINED AS TO HOW YOU STOOD UP TO HIS STANDARD AND LAW. STRICTLY BY THE LAW AS IT IS IN THE COURTS OF JUSTICE EVEN TODAY. WAS THE LAW BROKEN' IF THE STANDARD WAS NOT ACHIEVED WHAT IS THE PUNISHMENT. ITS NOT PERSONALITIES OR THE WAY YOU PRESENT YOURSELF HENCE NOT BY WHAT HE SEES OR HEARS BUT BY THE LAW, HIS LAW PERIOD!!!

LISTEN TO WHAT GOD SAYS ABOUT YOUR PRAYER OR PETITIONS IN PHILIPPIANS 4:6

HE TELLS US TO COME BOLDLY BEFORE HIS THRONE WITH CONFIDENCE BECAUSE OF THE FAITH WE HAVE IN HIM.
I WILL DISCUSS WHERE THIS BOLDNESS COME FROM IN A LITTLE WHILE.

NOW, REST ASSURED I LOVE MY QUIET INTIMATE TIMES WITH THE LORD WHERE ITS JUST YOU AND HIM WITH PRAISE AND WORSHIP AND ADORATION.
YET!!! WHEN CONDITION COME, AND THEY WILL WHEN THINGS BECOME CRITICAL, THAT A DIFFERENT TYPE OF PRAYER IS NECESSARY. WHEN YOU ARE OVERWHELMED, AND YOUR NEEDS SEEM IMPOSSIBLE TO MEET, WHEN DISCOURAGEMENT WEIGHS YOU DOWN, SICKNESS, FINANCIAL WOES, FEAR AND FAMILY PROBLEMS WEIGH UPON US HEAVILY. WE MUST, MUST COME BOLDLY BEFORE THE FATHER AS HE HAS INVITED YOU TO DO.

REMEMBER JAMES 5:16 :James 5:16 (Amplified Bible)

16Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
THE KING JAMES SAY THE EFFECTUAL, FERVENT PRAYER.
EFFECTUAL MEANING FROM THE GREEK A FIXED POSITION, UNMOVABLE, UNSHAKEABLE MIND SET AND FERVENT SPEAKS OF A BOLDNESS BASED ON SOLID EVIDENCE!!! ABSOLUTE PROOF THAT SUPPORTS YOUR PETITION. THAT IS COMING BEFORE GOD'S COURT FULLY CONVINCED THAT YOU HAVE A WELL PREPARED CASE. ITS BEYOND EMOTION, LOUDNESS OR PUMPED UP ENTHUSIASM.

THIS TYPE OF CASE CAN ONLY COME FROM A SERVANT WHO HAS SEARCHED GOD'S WORD AND IS FULLY PERSUADED THAT THE LORD ID BOUND TO HONOR IT.

LISTEN, ALWAYS BRING HIS WORD, HIS LAW WITH YOU WHEN YOU GO INTO THE COURT. HE WANTS US TO BRING HIS PROMISES AND REMIND HIM OF THEM, BIND HIM TO THEM. ARE YOU GETTING THIS' IS IT SINKING IN ' THIS IS A MAJOR KEY TO A SUCCESSFUL PRAYER LIFE.

LETS GOT TO ACTS 10: 19-21 AND I WILL SHOW YOU WHAT I MEAN:

19And while Peter was [a]earnestly revolving the vision in his mind and meditating on it, the [Holy] Spirit said to him, Behold, three men are looking for you!
20Get up and go below and accompany them without any doubt [about its legality] or any discrimination or hesitation, for I have sent them.
21Then Peter went down to the men and said, I am the man you seek; what is the purpose of your coming'
WHAT THIS SCRIPTURE TELLS US IS:
WHEN GOD HAS DECREED SOMETHING TO BE TRUE, WE ARE TO BELIEVE, STAND ON IT WITHOUT CONSULTING FLESH.

LISTEN REAL CLOSE: WE SIMPLY CANNOT MEASURE THE RELIABILITY OF GOD'S WORD BY EXAMINING OUR SITUATION OR OUR WORTHINESS. IF YOU DO, YOU WILL TALK YOURSELF OUT OF CLAIMING GOD'S WORD FOR YOU LIFE!!!
YOU WILL MISS HIS BLESSINGS AND HIS PERFECT WILL FOR YOUR LIFE.

AS WE APPROACH GOD'S THRONE, WE ARE GIVEN PLENTY OF HELP.

THE BIBLE SAY JESUS IS OUR INTERCESSOR, ADVOCATE. HIS SHED BLOOD OPENED THE FATHER'S THRONE ROOM..
AND WE HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT, THE 'PARACLETE' HE IS OUR ADVISOR AND OUR COMFORTER. HE IS THE ONE WHO WILL REMIND US OF GOD'S ETERNAL DECREES AND DIVINE CONSTITUTION.

NOW, LETS LOOK AT SOMETHING CALLED THE 'BINDING PRECEDENTS' . THIS TRUTH WILL CHANGE YOUR ENTIRE PRAYER LIFE

A PRECEDENT IS A PRECEDING CASE THAT SERVES AS AN EXAMPLE.

A LEGAL DECISION THAT WAS MADE IN THE PAST THAT BECOMES AUTHORITIVE RULE FOR SIMILAR CASES IN THE FUTURE.
FOR JUDGES TODAY IT MEANS HAVING TO STAND BY A DECISION THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN MADE.

GOOD LAWYERS USE THESE BINDING PRECEDENTS REGULARLY FOR THERE CASES BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT A PRECEDENT WILL STAND UP IN COURT;

EXAMPLES: YOUR HONOR N THE CASE OF SMITH VERSUS JONES IT WAS RULED...OR IN THE CASE OF BROWN VERSUS ROMERO ... OR QUINN VERSUS ANDREWS, ARE YOU GETTING THE POINT. JUDEAO / CHRISTIAN LAWS HAVE HAD GREAT AFFECT ON OUR LEGAL SYSTEM HEAR IN THE US.

NOW GET THIS, ALL TH ROUGH THE BIBLE, YOU HAD HOLY MEN AND WOMEN OF GOD SEEK OUT THESE KIND OF BINDING PRECEDENTS AND THEN THEY WOULD COME INTO GOD' PRESENCE AND BIND GOD TO HIS WORD OR LAWS.

ALL THIS TO SAY YOU CANNOT BE UNPREPARED. YOU NEED TO GO INTO GOD'S PRESENCE WITH A SPIRITUAL BRIEFCASE LOADED WITH PRECEDENTS OF HOW GOD ANSWERED PEOPLE'S PRAYERS IN THE PAST.

SO GET INTO THE WORD AND ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT TO HELP YOU DO THAT.

I WOULD LIKE TO LOOK INTO A FEW PEOPLE IN THE PAST THAT DID WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT TODAY. FIRST, MOSES.

13[Earnestly] remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants, to whom You swore by Your own self and said to them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give to your seed, and they shall inherit it forever.
14Then the Lord turned from the evil which He had thought to do to His people.

DAVID WOULD HAVE MADE A GREAT LAWYER, HE PLEADED WITH GOD CONCERNING ISRAEL'S PAST DELIVERANCE WAS NOT ACHIEVED IN THEIR OWN STRENGTH. LOOK AT PSALM 44:1-2

To the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of the sons of Korah. A skillful song, or a didactic or reflective poem.
1WE HAVE heard with our ears, O God; our fathers have told us [what] work You did in their days, in the days of old.
2You drove out the nations with Your hand and it was Your power that gave [Israel] a home by rooting out the [heathen] peoples, but [Israel] You spread out.

IN PSALM 74:20-23 HE SUMS UP EACH OF THESE EXAMPLES.

23Do not forget the [clamoring] voices of Your adversaries, the tumult of those who rise up against You, which ascends continually.

IN NEHEMIAH 9 THERE IS ONE OF THE CLEAREST EXAMPLES OF BRINGING PRECEDENTS OF MERCY TO GOD'S THRONE.

1NOW ON the twenty-fourth day of this month, the Israelites were assembled with fasting and in sackcloth and with earth upon their heads.
2And the Israelites separated themselves from all foreigners and stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers.
3And they stood in their place and read from the Book of the Law of the Lord their God for a fourth of the day, and for another fourth of it they confessed and worshiped the Lord their God.

THERE WAS A SEPARATION FROM EVERYTHING AND ACTUALLY READING GOD'S LAW TO HIM. AND AFTER RECITING ALL THE DELIVERANCE S HE GAVE ISRAEL EZRA SAYS IN VERSE 16-17

Nehemiah 9:16-17

16But they and our fathers acted presumptuously and stiffened their necks, and did not heed Your commandments.
17They refused to obey, nor were they mindful of Your wonders and miracles which You did among them; but they stiffened their necks and in their rebellion appointed a captain, that they might return to their bondage [in Egypt]. But You are a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great steadfast love; and You did not forsake them.

A FINE EXAMPLE OF REMINDING GOD AS TO WHAT HE DID IN THE PAST AND REMINDING HIM THAT HE CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD. THEY WERE RECITING TO GOD WHAT HAD HAPPENED IN EXODUS 32 AND IN VERSE 14 OF THAT CHAPTER IT SAYS ,'THEN THE LORD TURNED FROM EVIL WHICH HE HAD THOUGHT TO DO TO HIS PEOPLE.' ARE YOU UNDERSTANDING THIS' GOD HONORS HIS WORD ALL THE TIME.

THESE EXAMPLES SHOULD ENCOURAGE ANY DOWNCAST BELIEVER WHO THINKS HE IS BEYOND EXPERIENCING GOD'S MERCIES. HEBREWS 13: 8 BRINGS US UP TO DATE BY TELLING US THAT 'JESUS CHRIST (GOD'S LIVING WORD) IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER.'

TRUE BOLDNESS COMES NOT WITH EMOTIONS BUT ONLY WHEN WE ARE FULLY PERSUADED. SO START BUILDING YOUR CASE BEFORE GOING INTO THE THRONE ROOM. GET INTO GOD'S WORD, WRITE IT DOWN AND BRING IT TO THE LORD AND BIND HIM TO HIS WORD. THAT IS TO SAY WHAT HE HAS SAID AND DONE IN THE PAST.
LISTEN NEW TESTAMENT SAINTS HAVE SOMETHING ONLY OLD TESTAMENT SAINTS COULD ONLY DRAM OF. AND THAT IS GOD'S OWN SON SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF OUR FATHER-JUDGE.

HOW SHOULD WE PRAY' LET ME GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE OF A NEW TESTAMENT SAINT' PRAYER.
FATHER, I HAVE NOTHING TO BRING YOU BUT YOUR OWN WORD. YOU DECREED FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD THAT YOUR SON, JESUS, WOULD DIE.. AND YOU PROMISED THAT HIS BY HIS BLOOD I WOULD BE CLEANSED, AND BY HIS STRIPES I WOULD BE HEALED.

YOU ALSO PROMISED THAT I WOULD BE COMPLETE IN CHRIST. YOU SAID YOU WOULD KEEP ME FROM FALLING, AND THAT YOU WOULD BE MY INTERCESSOR. YOU PROMISED THAT BY FAITH IN HIM, I WOULD BE FULLY ACCEPTED AND ADOPTED BY YOU. THEN YOU PROMISED THAT YOU WOULD OPEN YOUR EARS TO MY PETITIONS. YOU PROMISED TO SUPPLY ALL MY NEEDS. AND YOU TOLD ME TO BELIEVE YOUR PROPHETS WHO RECORDED IN THE SCRIPTURES YOUR PROMISES TO BE MERCIFUL TO ME, ALWAYS READY TO FORGIVE ME. YOU PROMISED YOU WOULDN'T ALLOW ME TO CARRY ANY LOAD THAT I COULDN'T BEAR. AND YOU TOLD ME, THAT ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD TO THEM THAT LOVE YOU AND ARE CALLED BY YOU. FATHER, THESE ARE ALL YOU DECREES. THEY ARE YOU VERY OWN PROMISES. AND YOU CANNOT DENY YOUR OWN WORDS. YOU ARE THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, ISAAC, JACOB AND YOU ARE ALSO MY GOD. OH LORD, HAVE MERCY UPON ME NOW IN MY HOUR OF NEED. IN JESUS NAME AMEN.

I TRULY BELIEVE THAT IS WONDERFULLY BLESSED WHEN WE APPROACH HIS THRONE WITH THIS KIND OF BOLDNESS, BINDING HIM TO HIS WORD.
ITS AS IF HE WOULD SAY TO US, 'FINALLY, YOU GOT IT. YOU BLESS ME.
