SATAN'S STRATEGY TO DESTROY THE CHURCH

2 Thessalonians 2:3 (Amplified Bible)

3Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the [a]apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great [b]falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition),(A)

2 Thessalonians 2:10-11 (Amplified Bible)

10And by unlimited seduction to evil and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing (going to perdition) because they did not welcome the Truth but refused to love it that they might be saved.
11Therefore God sends upon them a misleading influence, a working of error and a strong delusion to make them believe what is false,

AS WE PREPARE TO BECOME THE CHURCH THAT GOD IS CALLING TO BE A CHURCH THAT IS KNOWN FOR IT'S EFFECTIVE PRAYER, THAT KNOCKS SATAN'S HINDRANCES COMPLETELY OUT AND GETS PRAYERS ANSWERED QUICKLY. ALSO, THE CHURCH THAT KNOWS WHO TO LOVE THE UNLOVABLE AND REALLY HAS RECEIVED THE LOVE OF GOD. OUR LOVE WILL BE ONE THAT HAS NO STRINGS ATTACHED.

AFTER 11 SESSIONS IN BATTLEFIELD OF THE MIND, WE BETTER UNDERSTAND THAT WRONG THINKING CAN CRUSH THE INDIVIDUAL BELIEVER AND THE CHURCH AS A WHOLE.

A CHURCH THAT IS READY AND WILLING WITH JOY TO FULFILL THE THIRD GREATEST COMMANDMENT WHICH IS THE GREAT COMMISSION.

DO YOU KNOW THAT AS WE LINE UP ON THE RUNWAY TO TAKE OFF INTO GOD'S DESTINY, THE ENEMY WILL BE THERE TO STOP OUR EFFORTS. SATAN AND HIS CRONIES ARE VERY SLY AND HAVE A PLAN IN STORE FOR ANY CHURCH THAT IS WILLING TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT GOD'S PLAN. AS A MATTER OF FACT, THEY HAVE ALREADY BEEN LAYING THE GROUNDWORK, MAYBE EVEN IN YOUR LIFE AND YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT IT.

I BELIEVE THAT GOD SPOKE TO MY SPIRIT THE OTHER DAY AND SAID, SON, DO YOU SEE ALL THE DESTRUCTION THAT IS GOING ON IN THE WORLD TODAY? YES LORD I DO. MOST PEOPLE CAN SEE THESE THINGS, EVEN THE PARADING OF IMMORALITY IN THE STREETS, A VAST ARRAY OF HUMAN BEHAVIORS DESTRUCTIVE TO HUMAN DIGNITY. THOSE THAT LOVE ME CAN SEE AND SENSE ALL THESE THINGS. WHAT WAS HIDDEN SIN HAS NOW MOVED INTO THE OPEN WITHOUT REPENTANCE. WARS THAT TAKE NO REGARD FOR HUMAN LIVES. MOST PEOPLE WOULD SAY THAT THERE IS SOME BAD THINGS HAPPENING EVERYWHERE. YES LORD!
THEN I BELIEVE HE SAID, WHAT YOU ARE SEEING AND SENSING IS JUST THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG. MOST OF THE ENEMY'S WORK IS SUBVERSIVE, HIDDEN FROM SIGHT.

THEN I BEGAN TO SEE THAT ALL THE THINGS THAT WE NOW SEE WAS ONCE HIDDEN FROM SIGHT. THE ENEMY WAS PLANTING AND CULTIVATING SEEDS THAT EVENTUALLY BORE FRUIT. THESE THINGS JUST DIDN'T JUST HAPPEN, THEY HAVE BEEN IN THE WOMB OF DESTRUCTION FOR GENERATIONS.

TAKE LEGAL ABORTIONS, THIS SEED IS OLD BUT IN THE PAST PEOPLE WERE FED IDEAS OF HUMAN PHILOSOPHY THAT MADE IT SOUND ALL RIGHT. YES, THE FETUS IS NOT YET BORN, WE CAN DESTROY IT, NO PROBLEM, NOW WE HAVE MASS MURDER WITH MANY PEOPLE'S APPROVAL. PEOPLE WERE LULLED INTO THIS GREAT SIN LIKE PLACING A FROG IN COLD WATER AND TURNING UP THE HEAT AND IT DOESN'T KNOW ITS BEING COOKED. THAT'S REALLY ONE OF SATAN'S STRATEGIES. MAKE PEOPLE FEEL LIKE IT ALL RIGHT, THE TEMPERATURE IS GREAT AND BINGO THEY ARE IMMERSED TOO LONG AND BECOME A CASUALTY.

REMOVAL OF PRAYER FROM SCHOOL. LITTLE OLD MADELEINE MURRAY O'HARE AND HER MOVEMENT TO REMOVE PRAYER FROM SCHOOL. HEY, IT WON'T HURT, IT'S JUST NOT NECESSARY AND WE DON'T WANT TO OFFEND THE ATHEIST DO WE' YET, AS OF NOW, THE OUT OF MARRIAGE PREGNANCIES HAVE EXPLODED, NOT TO MENTION THE SCHOOL SHOOTINGS THAT TAKEN MANY INNOCENT LIVES. I BELIEVE IF WE WHO REALLY CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE STAND UP FOR OUR BELIEFS MANY OF THESE THINGS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED.

NO WE JUST GO WITH THE FLOW, AND ITS OKAY. YOUR KIDS DON'T NEED TO SEE YOU STUDYING YOUR BIBLE AND PRAYING, IT WON'T MAKE THAT MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE!! THEY DON'T NEED TO SEE YOU CONSISTENT IN CHURCH ATTENDANCE !!! OH YEA, IF THAT'S RIGHT YOU ARE SETTING UP, IMPREGNATING THE WOMB OF DESTRUCTION. MAYBE NOT TODAY BUT IT WILL COME TO PASS THAT YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN SOWING.
WHERE ARE YOU GETTING THESE FALSE NOTIONS FROM' WHO IS FEEDING YOUR MIND?

NOW THAT WAS DEALING WITH SOCIETY AND FAMILY. WHAT HAS THE DEVIL BEEN SOWING AND STILL SOWING NOW FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF THE CHURCH?
AS BAD AS THE OTHER THINGS WERE, SATAN'S MAJOR THRUST HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE CHURCH, ESPECIALLY THE CHURCHES THAT HAVE DECIDED TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT THE LORD'S BUSINESS. THESE TYPE OF CHURCHES MEAN DESTRUCTION TO HIS KINGDOM, SO THE MORE HE CAN TAKE OUT THE BETTER.

THE FOCUS OF SATAN'S ENDEAVORS MUST BE TO INVEST HIS POWER WHERE IT WILL REAP THE GREATEST REWARDS. HIS STRATEGY IS TO UNDERMINE VALUES, PROMOTE GODLESS IDEOLOGIES AND MORAL DECAY? ANYTHING THAT POLLUTES THE MIND AND PERVERTS THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE. THUS, HE AIMS FOR THE COMMUNICATION MEDIA. SCHOOL CURRICULA, POLITICAL AND RELIGIOUS BODIES, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, POWERFUL LEADERS. EACH CAN BECOME POTENTIAL AVENUES OF SATAN'S INFLUENCE THAT TOUCH THE LIVES OF BELIEVERS. MUSIC OF THE DAY. LISTEN SOMETIMES AND SEE WHAT YOUR KIDS ARE GETTING FROM MANY SONGS.
YALE, HARVARD AND BROWN WERE CHRISTIAN COLLEGES WHEN THEY STARTED AND TODAY THEY ARE A FAR CRY FROM WHAT THEY WERE INTENDED TO BE. MANY CHURCHES FUNCTION WITH ALMOST TOTAL DISREGARD FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE POWER THAT COME THROUGH HIM.
THE SCHOOLS AND CHURCHES STARTED WITH POWER AND WANTING TO SERVE CHRIST TO THE FULLEST. YET SATAN WAS ALWAYS SOWING SEEDS TO MAKE THEM LESS EFFECTIVE AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED..
REVELATION 1:1 IS REFERRING TO WHAT WAS TO COME. LETS LOOK:
Revelation 1
1. 1[THIS IS] the revelation of Jesus Christ [His unveiling of the divine mysteries]. God gave it to Him to disclose and make known to His bond servants certain things which must shortly and speedily come to pass [a]in their entirety. And He sent and communicated it through His angel (messenger) to His bond servant John,
NOW IN REVELATION CHAPTER 2 AND 3, ITS MAKES REFERENCE TO THE CONDITIONS OF CHURCHES AND HOW THEY WERE MISLED INTO DANGEROUS THINGS.

REV 2:1-4
Revelation 2:1-4 (Amplified Bible)

Revelation 2
1TO THE angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Ephesus write: These are the words of Him Who holds the seven stars [which are the messengers of the seven churches] in His right hand, Who goes about among the seven golden lampstands [which are the seven churches]:
2I know your industry and activities, laborious toil and trouble, and your patient endurance, and how you cannot tolerate wicked [men] and have tested and critically appraised those who call [themselves] apostles (special messengers of Christ) and yet are not, and have found them to be impostors and liars.
3I know you are enduring patiently and are bearing up for My name's sake, and you have not fainted or become exhausted or grown weary.
4But I have this [one charge to make] against you: that you have left (abandoned) the love that you had at first [you have deserted Me, your first love].
IN VERSE 2 HE PRAISE THEM FOR THEIR WORK AND DISCERNMENT.
IN VERSE 3 MENTIONS THEIR PATIENT ENDURANCE AND THEIR DEDICATION.
YET IN VERSE 4 HE SAYS THAT THEY HAVE LEFT THEIR FIRST LOVE.

WHAT MAKES A PERSON LEAVE THEIR FIRST LOVE ? IT HAS TO BE ANOTHER LOVE WOULDN'T YOU SAY. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE ANOTHER PERSON, IT CAN BE A PERSON OR THING THAT YOU DEDICATE YOURSELF TO AND GOD IS NO LONGER NUMBER ONE IN YOUR LIFE. MAYBE MONEY, JOB, HUMAN LOVE, LUST, WORLDLY PLEASURES. SOMETIMES IT MAY BE INNOCENT AND PEOPLE HAVEN'T EVEN NOTICED, BUT GOD IS NOT FILLING MOST OF THEIR LIFE ANYMORE. HAS THAT HAPPENED TO ANYONE HERE? BIBLE STUDY DOESN'T EXCITE YOU ANYMORE, YOU WOULD RATHER SPEND THAT TIME WITH SOMEONE ELSE AND THAT IN ITSELF IS NOT WRONG BUT YOU CHOOSE THEM INSTEAD OF GOD. PRAYER IS OKAY IF I HAVE THE TIME OR MAYBE YOU HAVE BEEN SPENDING MORE TIME DOING THINGS THAT REALLY INTEREST YOU. LIKE MOVIES, HOBBIES AND THE LIKE. PRAYING CAN BE SO BORING!!
DO YOU GET THE PICTURE?

LETS GO TO VERSE 8-10 OF REV 2:
Revelation 2:8-11 (Amplified Bible)

8And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Smyrna write: These are the words of the First and the Last, Who died and came to life again:(A)
9I know your affliction and distress and pressing trouble and your poverty--but you are rich! and how you are abused and reviled and slandered by those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

10Fear nothing that you are about to suffer. [Dismiss your dread and your fears!] Behold, the devil is indeed about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested and proved and critically appraised, and for ten days you will have affliction. Be loyally faithful unto death [even if you must die for it], and I will give you the crown of life.(B)
11He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches). He who overcomes (is victorious) shall in no way be injured by the second death.
IN VERSE 9 HE ADDRESSES THEIR AFFLICTION AND DISTRESS AND TELLS THEM TO REMAIN FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH. IN VERSE 10 THEY ARE TO FEAR NOTHING AND THAT EVEN IN POVERTY THEY WERE RICH. NOT TOLD TO REPENT BUT THAT THERE WAS MORE TRIBULATION COMING. WHEW !!
MANY IN CHURCHES TODAY ARE OVERWHELMED WITH FEARS AND NOT WILLING TO GIVE IT ALL TO GOD. CONSEQUENTLY THEY WILL NEVER ENTER THE DESTINY OF GOD AND THAT IS WHAT SATAN?S PLAN IS. ANYONE HERE SATURATED WITH FEAR AND YOUR HOLDING BACK WITH GOD'S CALL ON YOUR LIFE. THE SEED OF FEAR IS ALWAYS BEING SOWN BY SATAN. HIS TACTICS HAVE NEVER CHANGED.

LETS LOOK AT REV. 2 VERSE 12-13 ----
Revelation 2:12-15 (Amplified Bible)

12Then to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Pergamum write: These are the words of Him Who has and wields the sharp two-edged sword:
13I know where you live--a place where Satan sits enthroned. [Yet] you are clinging to and holding fast My name, and you did not deny My faith, even in the days of Antipas, My witness, My faithful one, who was killed (martyred) in your midst--where Satan dwells.
14Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: you have some people there who are clinging to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to set a trap and a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, [to entice them] to eat food that had been sacrificed to idols and to practice lewdness [giving themselves up to sexual vice].(A)
15You also have some who in a similar way are clinging to the teaching of the Nicolaitans [those corrupters of the people] which thing I hate.
IN VERSE 13 HE TELLS THEM HE KNOWS THAT THEY LIVE IN A HELL HOLE. AND THEY ARE HOLDING ONTO THE NAME OF THE LORD AND NOT DENYING FAITH. BUT IN VERSE 14 THEY WERE TOLD THAT THEY WERE INCORPORATING, WHAT WE CALL TODAY, NEW AGE THINKING. THAT IS THEY WERE RECEIVING WRONG TEACHING. SEXUAL VISE WAS ALL RIGHT (SOME WOULD SAY IN TODAY'S WORLD THAT PORN HELPS MY MARRIAGE) THAT'S A LIE FROM THE DEVIL AND SOME HAVE BOUGHT INTO IT AND HAVE HAD THEIR MARRIAGES RUINED.

BE CAREFUL FOR THE NAME AND CLAIM PHILOSOPHY!! SOME MINISTRIES ARE IN IT FOR THE MONEY AND IT'S ALL FINANCIAL GAINS. WITHOUT DISCERNMENT IT'S EASY TO GET CAUGHT UP IN MANY FALSE TEACHINGS. THESE TYPE OF TEACHINGS CAN GET YOU OFF THE FOCUS ON SOULS AND HEALING. AS YOU PURSUE HIS WORD, GOD WILL BLESS YOU IN EVERY AREA OF YOUR LIFE.
LETS GO TO REV 2:18-21

Revelation 2:18-21 (Amplified Bible)

18And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, Who has eyes that flash like a flame of fire, and Whose feet glow like bright and burnished and white-hot bronze:(A)
19I know your record and what you are doing, your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your recent works are more numerous and greater than your first ones.
20But I have this against you: that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess [claiming to be inspired], and who is teaching and leading astray my servants and beguiling them into practicing sexual vice and eating food sacrificed to idols. [I Kings 16:31; II Kings 9:22, 30.]
21I gave her time to repent, but she has no desire to repent of her immorality [symbolic of idolatry] and refuses to do so.
AGAIN WE HAVE A CHURCH THAT FALLS PREY TO FALSE TEACHINGS. JEZEBEL WAS ALSO ADVOCATING SEXUAL VISE AND OTHER THINGS CONTRARY TO GOD'S LAW. THESE TYPE OF TEACHINGS WILL SLOW DOWN OR STOP COMPLETELY YOUR CHURCH PLAN TO CARRY ON WITH GOD'S WORK.

REV 3:1-3
Revelation 3:1-3 (Amplified Bible)

Revelation 3
1AND TO the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Sardis write: These are the words of Him Who has the seven Spirits of God [[a]the sevenfold Holy Spirit] and the seven stars: I know your record and what you are doing; you are supposed to be alive, but [in reality] you are dead.
2Rouse yourselves and keep awake, and strengthen and invigorate what remains and is on the point of dying; for I have not found a thing that you have done [any work of yours] meeting the requirements of My God or perfect in His sight.

3So call to mind the lessons you received and heard; continually lay them to heart and obey them, and repent. In case you will not rouse yourselves and keep awake and watch, I will come upon you like a thief, and you will not know or suspect at what hour I will come.
THIS CHURCH IS NOT PRAISED FOR ANYTHING BECAUSE THEY HAD DONE NOTHING. THEY WERE ON THE VERGE OF DEATH. LAZY CHURCHES NEVER ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING FOR GOD. LAZINESS CAN BE VERY SUBTLE AND YOU MAY NOT EVEN BE AWARE THAT YOU ARE JUST MOVING SLOW NOT WANTING TO STIR THE WATERS OR MAKE WAVES. WHERE DOES THE THOUGHTS COME FROM? HOW ABOUT YOUR ENEMY, AND YOU SOMETIMES DISPLAY LAZINESS ON YOUR OWN. THEY NEVER BROUGHT TO MIND THE TEACHINGS THEY HAD AND NEVER PUT THEM INTO USE. YOU CAN SIT IN A BIBLE STUDY AND LISTEN, BUT NEVER PUT INTO PRACTICE WHAT YOU LEARNED. SOME DON'T EVEN SEE SATAN BEHIND THIS ATTITUDE.
NOW REV 3:7-10

Revelation 3:7-10 (Amplified Bible)

7And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Philadelphia write: These are the words of the Holy One, the True One, He Who has the key of David, Who opens and no one shall shut, Who shuts and no one shall open:(A)
8I know your [record of] works and what you are doing. See! I have set before you a door wide open which no one is able to shut; I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept My Word and guarded My message and have not renounced or denied My name.
9Take note! I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say they are Jews and are not, but lie--behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet and learn and acknowledge that I have loved you.(B)
10Because you have guarded and kept My word of patient endurance [have held fast the [a]lesson of My patience with the [b]expectant endurance that I give you], I also will keep you [safe] from the hour of trial (testing) which is coming on the whole world to try those who dwell upon the earth.
VERSE 8 SAYS THEY HAD LITTLE POWER BUT THEY KEPT HIS WORD. THAT IS THEY DID HIS WORD. HE OPENED DOORS FOR THEM TO GO THROUGH WHICH NO MAN COULD SHUT. WHEN YOU ARE ABOUT HIS BUSINESS HE WILL GIVE YOU FAVOR AND OPEN THOSE DOORS THAT YOU NEED OPENED.
VERSE 9 HE WILL MAKE YOUR ENEMIES BOW DOWN BEFORE YOU AND ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR FAVOR FROM GOD.
VERSE 10 SAYS THAT HE WILL KEEP THEM SAFE FROM THE HOUR OF TRIAL.

NOW VERSE 14-22 OF CHAPTER 3;

Revelation 3:14-22 (Amplified Bible)

14And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the trusty and faithful and true Witness, the Origin and Beginning and Author of God's creation:(A)
15I know your [record of] works and what you are doing; you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot!
16So, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth!
17For you say, I am rich; I have prospered and grown wealthy, and I am in need of nothing; and you do not realize and understand that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.(B)
18Therefore I counsel you to purchase from Me gold refined and tested by fire, that you may be [truly] wealthy, and white clothes to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nudity from being seen, and salve to put on your eyes, that you may see.
19Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude].(C)
20Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me.
21He who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant him to sit beside Me on My throne, as I Myself overcame (was victorious) and sat down beside My Father on His throne.
22He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the [Holy] Spirit says to the assemblies (churches).
VERSE 15-16 SAYS THAT THEY WERE NOT HOT OR COLD AND THAT HE WOULD BE SPITTING THEM OUT OF HIS MOUTH.
VERSE 17 SAYS THAT BECAUSE THEY WERE RICH THEY SAW NO NEED FOR GOD TO HELP THEM. WE SEE THAT A LOT IN THIS WORLD. PEOPLE COME INTO MONEY AND THEY FORGET ABOUT GOD. A PASTOR IN R.I. WON THE READER'S DIGEST SWEEPSTAKES AND JUST LEFT HIS CHURCH OF 60 AND BOUGHT PROPERTY IN THE CARRIBEAN.
VERSE 18 GOD TELLS THEM TO GET WISE AND SEE REALLY WHAT THEIR NEEDS ARE.
VERSE 19 I CHASTISE THE ONES I LOVE.
VERSE 20 I WANT TO COME IN AND FELLOWSHIP WITH YOU, SO OPEN YOUR HEART AND SEE ME AND MY REAL INTENTIONS FOR YOU, THAT THEY ARE ALL GOOD.
VERSE 21 HE GIVES THEM INCENTIVE, YOU WILL SIT ON MY THRONE IF YOU OVERCOME.

MOST TIMES SUCCESS IN LIFE NEGATES OUR NEED TO STAY CLOSE TO GOD. WE FEEL THAT WE DON'T NEED CHURCH, BIBLE STUDY AND PRAYER BECAUSE WE ARE TOO WELL OFF. RICHES ARE OKAY BUT DON'T LET THEM POSSESS YOU.

FIVE (5) OF THE SEVEN CHURCHES WERE TOLD TO REPENT. WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF?
WE ARE IN DANGEROUS TIMES SURROUNDED BY PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW JESUS AS THEIR SAVIOR AND THEIR THINKING AND PHILOSOPHY CAN INFLUENCE YOUR THINKING. SATAN WILL USE THEM TO PLANT WRONG THOUGHTS IN YOUR LIFE AND DESTROY YOUR USEFULNESS IN THE BODY OF CHRIST.
WE WILL CLOSE WITH 2 TIMOTHY 3:1-5 ----

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (Amplified Bible)

2 Timothy 3
1BUT UNDERSTAND this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear].
2For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane.
3[They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement); [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good.
4[They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God.
5For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them] (COMMENT ON EACH VERSE, TIME PERMITTING)
